CEWEFIA (Central and Western Fishmongers Improvement Association) is a local NGO that focuses on women and how to improve their lives economically. They also work with fishermen and seek their welfare.
The purpose of CEWEFIA having a meeting with the district assembly was to establish a Child Labour Free Zone in the district at Moree, which they wanted the assembly to show commitment to the initiative and project that is been piloted at Moree.
In attendance at the Meeting was the District Coordinating Director (Dr. John A. Nunya), the Project Coordinator (Mr. Smith) and the various Heads of Departments and Units.
