My First Day at School

On 10th January 2023, The District Assembly collaborate with the District Education Directorate to embark on “My First Day at School” exercise. The exercise is part of government’s policy plan and initiative to welcome pupils enrolled annually at the beginning of every academic year, especially those entering Nursery (Creche) and kindergarten (KG) as well as those joining the mainstream school system at basic one and is aimed at motivating the Children to stay in School. The exercise was undertaken across the public schools in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District and the District Assembly.

The District Chief Executive, Hon. Willyevans Obiri-Awuah with support of the Ghana Education Service from Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District in commemorating the first Day this year presented different kinds of learning materials to school Children in the District.

The District Assembly being implementer of government plans and programme had on 2023 programme.
