Investment Activities
The AAK District is quite endowed as far as development resources are concerned. However, due to their undeveloped nature, the District is yet to realize the full benefits of these resources. This has greatly affected the ability of the Assembly to mobilize enough IGF to undertake various projects. These notwithstanding, there are a number of investment activities being undertaken in the district with many others that are areas of opportunities that can be tapped into and developed.
Industrial and Business Enterprises in AAK
There are a number of manufacturing and processing firms in the district operating in areas such as Wood processing firms, Agro-processing, Sachet water Production, starch production among others. Other areas include Cassava processing into Gari, Tapioca, Cassava Chips and flour among others. Kenkey making, palm oil production and palm kernel extraction are all being done both on small and medium scale but have great potential for large scale production.

The district is one of the leading producers of citrus in the Central Region and that makes juice production and other related activities a very lucrative venture in the district.
Besides these agro processing activities, there are a large number of artisanal workshops including Hairdressing, blacksmithing, carpentry and joinery, dress-making, and soap-making. There are sandcrete block production centers as well as charcoal production.
