The District Assembly held its General Assembly Meeting on 9th April 2026 to elecet a new Presiding Member to stear the affairs of the district. The Presiding Member in the person of Hon. Napoleon Nsarko-Tawiah was re-elected again after the house voted and getting 2/3 majority of the votes for his third conservative term in office as the Hon. Presiding Member of the District.
The DCE Hon. Daniel Mensah Wardy and the District Coordinating Director Madam Tawakalitu Raji were in attendance together with all the heads of Decentralized Departments and Units and the Hon. assembly members present.
