The president of the Republic, his excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo visited the AAK constituency on the 19th of October 2021. The visit was part of the president’s tour of the Central region.
At a durbar, held at Abakrampa by the Abura Traditional Council, the Gyasehene and acting president of the Abura Traditional Council Nana Nkwefi VII welcomed the president to the constituency and commended the government on the numerous developmental interventions been undertaken in the constituency.
Nana Nkwefi VII also used the occassion to request for other essential needs of the constituency key among them was the completion of the Abakrampa – Okyiriku road.
The president on his part expressed his deepest gratitude to the Chiefs and people of the AAK constituency for the immense support given to him and Hon. Elvis Morris Donkor (Member of Parliament) during the 2020 general elections which enabled them maintained their seats to continue the transformational agenda of the government.
The president pledged his commitment to complete all ongoing projects in the constituency with respect to raising the status of Abakrampa Health Centre to a Hospital. He asked her personal physician Dr. Patricia Takyi to assist to make it a reality.
Present at the event were the Central Regional Minister, Hon. Justina Marigold Assan, the Minister for Fisheries Hon. Hawa Koomson, Deputy Minister for Education Hon. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Member of Parliament Hon. Elvis Morris Donkor and other key personalities of his government. Also present were the Chiefs of Abura, Asebu and Kwamankese Traditional Councils and the Assembly Members of AAK District Assembly.
