The Abura Asebu Kwamankese District on 24th June 2021 was graced with the visit of the new Central Regional Minister, Hon Justina Marigold Assan. The visit was part of Minister’s familiarization tour to Districts in the Central Region. As part of the visit, Hon Justina Marigold Assan paid courtesy calls to the three paramouncies in the District. She was accompanied by the Member of Parliament for the A.A.K. constituency, Hon Elvis Morris Donkoh, the District Chief Executive, the Regional Coordinating Director, Heads of security institutions and District Heads of Departments. The Minister stated that the purpose of the visit was to formally introduce herself to the traditional authorities and seek their counsel and support to fulfill the duties assigned to her by the President. The minister in her address lamented on the high incidence of teenage pregnancy in the district and called on traditional authorities and stakeholders to join her take action to reduce its occurrence. She also charged Assembly members to put the needs of the people at heart and do away with unproductive political activities to ensure a successful election of a Presiding Member to secure development in the District. The Member of Parliament on his part highlighted on efforts taken to bring developmental interventions to the district and gave the assurance that work on the Asebu-Akakrampa Road will continued unabated. The Regional Minister also paid a working visiting to the office of the District Assembly and had interaction with staffs of the District Assembly. She advised staffs to put up positive work attitude and charged management to motive and acknowledge the efforts of deserving staffs.
