The District Chief Executive for Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District Assembly, Hon. Willyevans Obiri-Awuah, joined the District Education Director Madam Justina Appau, the District Co-ordinating Director Dr. John A. Nunya and some staffs of the Assembly to embark on a duty tour dubbed “My first Day at School”.
The exercise was part of the initiative to welcome pupils enrolled to KG1, New Comers who had joined various schools and KG 2 pupils moving into the mainstream of basic education across the public schools in the District.
Hon. Willyevans Obiri-Awuah used the opportunity to commend teachers for their efforts in molding and nurturing the children into responsible adults. He encouraged the teachers to continue to accommodate and support the children. He also addressed the children in turns, to take their studies seriously and be punctual in school. He also donated snacks and learning materials to the pupils.
